Kilberry Castle has been home to the Campbell family for over 400 years, its wooded grounds extending to some 15 acres – carpeted with snowdrops and bluebells in spring.
A short walk across two fields leads to a lovely sandy beach. There is an abundance of wildlife here and the whole area offers ideal terrain for walking and cycling.
There are opportunities near the Kilberry Estate to enjoy golfing, sea and loch fishing, pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting, and stalking [in season].
Ferry trips to the islands off the coast of Argyll are very popular – especially to the island of Gigha [pictured, left, the view towards Gigha].
Local places of interest include archaeological sites, standing stones, forts and castles.
